At Pathways Learning Academy at Capital Turnaround, your child's safety is our top priority. Our school uses secure entry doors and identification checks to help ensure only authorized individuals can enter the building. Throughout the day, our teachers provide attentive supervision and follow established safety procedures. At pickup, children are released only to parents, guardians, or approved individuals, with photo identification verified when needed. These measures help give you peace of mind knowing your child is safe and cared for throughout the day.

At Pathways Learning Academy at Capital Turnaround, we follow established health and illness guidelines to help maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for all children. Families are encouraged to keep children home when they have a fever or other symptoms of a contagious illness. Our teachers monitor children’s well-being throughout the day and promptly notify families if a child becomes unwell or needs to be picked up. Children may return to school once they meet the illness-related return requirements outlined in our Family Handbook. Families can contact their school director for specific illness policies and return-to-school guidelines.

At Pathways Learning Academy at Capital Turnaround, we maintain an Emergency Management Plan that outlines procedures for severe weather, fires, intruder situations, and other emergencies. Regular safety drills help our teachers and children practice emergency procedures and prepare for unexpected situations. If an emergency requires evacuation, children will be moved to a designated safe location, and families will be notified as soon as possible. Our Emergency Management Plan is also available at the school for families to review.
